I am a third-year master’s candidate at both UW’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance and the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences. My research broadly revolves around better understanding and improving the polices and bodies governing public land use and protected area management in the United States. More specifically, I’m interested in how successful different protected area designations are at achieving various management objectives.
In addition to my research interests, I’m passionate about teaching environmental issues through an interdisciplinary lens. I strive to foster a class atmosphere that supports and encourages collaboration, innovation, and experiential learning opportunities, where my students can both learn about and practically apply their knowledge and skills.
