Outreach Education Manager (Full Time, Regular)

Pacific Science Center is committed to driving science education forward in Washington State. At the heart of this are Outreach Education Programs, bringing science education to communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Outreach Education Programs Manager provides vision and direction for Outreach Education for Pacific Science Center. 
This position manages existing outreach education programs, new initiatives, budgets, materials, and staff for Science On Wheels, Science After School and grant projects. In addition the Outreach Education Programs Manager works with the Director of Science and Education and the Vice President for Science and Education in developing and implementing new initiatives. 

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in Science, Education or related field as well as demonstrated teaching experience at the elementary level and delivery of interactive programs or presentation of formal/informal programs. Supervisory experience and management of grant related projects are also essential. Patience, creativity, and great attention to detail are keys for success in this position.
