Community

Environmental Studies at the Program on the Environment combines natural sciences, social sciences and humanities to provide students with a deep understanding of how humans interact with and influence the environment.

We encourage students to think about their role in creating a more sustainable future and provide the learning community for them to become future environmental professionals and leaders.

Our alumni work at government and nonprofit organizations, businesses and consulting firms. They remain engaged with the program through participation on the Alumni Board, frequent community gatherings, and career workshops.

External partners are an active part of our community, collaborating with and mentoring students in their senior Capstone or graduate Keystone Projects. We appreciate our many long-standing partner relationships and welcome new partners to join in supporting our students.

Explore the variety of student Capstone and Keystone projects to see how our graduates apply their knowledge and leadership skills to make a difference on campus, in their community and around the world.
