Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Junior Chemist in its Seattle, WA office.
 

This position will be supporting the chemistry team with laboratory coordination, data package tracking, data validation, field data entry, and lab invoice approvals. Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of environmental analytical laboratory experience with an emphasis on data analysis, quality assurance/quality control components, data acquisition and reporting, and demonstrate knowledge or strengths in the following areas:

• EPA methodologies including solid waste physical/chemical methods (SW-846)
• Standard Methods for water and wastewater (APHA, AWWA, WEF)
• Data review and data validation (EPA National Functional Guidelines)
• Automated Data Review (ADR) data validation software
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate large projects
• Laboratory data processing, LIMS and EDD generation
• Technical writing to assist with development of laboratory work orders and data reports
• Database systems including MS Access, SQL Server, and/or MySQL
