Campus Sustainability Fund Outreach Coordinator

Working closely with the Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) Coordinator, the Outreach Coordinator will perform website updates and develop communications and outreach material for the CSF. The Outreach Coordinator will address questions and inquiries made by students, faculty, and staff, and, above all, will be instrumental in helping to raise the profile of the CSF within the campus community.

CSF is a student-run, student-funded organization that provides grants to on-campus projects that improve sustainability at the University of Washington. Find out more about CSF at csf.washington.edu.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, have many campus connections, be a team player and be highly motivated. Experience with HTML, web applications and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter is preferred. Below is an outline of the Outreach Coordinator’s daily tasks: 

• Update the Campus Sustainability Fund website (csf.washington.edu), as well as Facebook and Twitter.

• Research communications and media contacts for campus groups and departments and meet with these contacts to provide information on the CSF and to address any questions or concerns.

• Assist with developing campus communications templates, as well as other outreach materials and efforts.

Desired Qualifications 

• Strong commitment and passion for the environment and campus sustainability

• Good communication skills

• Experience with the following: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PageMaker, Photoshop, and/or other computer programs

• Experience in editing and posting web pages

• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
