Taylor Shellfish Internship

We are a vertically integrated shellfish company looking for qualified, self motivated individuals that want to work and learn in the aquaculture industry. Our goal is to integrate individuals into our management team.

Qualifications: Individuals must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the tide schedule, enjoy working outside in the Puget Sound year round, have a knowledge and interest in cultivation, and prefer persons with a four year degree or working towards a four year degree.

Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour

Job Description:

Geoduck Farm Work

1.       Learn the responsibilities of caring for Geoduck seed.

2.       Take part in harvesting geoducks.

3.       Learn the duties and responsibilities of managing geoduck crops throughout their 6 year cycle.

Clam/Oyster Farm Work

1.       Work with farm managers to sample and survey clam/oyster populations.

2.       Help with ground maintenance to learn day to day farming tasks.

3.        Work at clam and oyster nursery screening and cleaning seed.
