During my internship with Seattle Tilth, I assisted in guiding garden-related lessons and activities at South Shore School and the Rainier Beach Learning Garden (RBLG). I was also responsible for updating and reformatting the existing garden curriculum in a way that it can be used as a guiding resource for other programs and educators to reference. I was interested in studying the ways garden-based education supports deeper learning and the numerous lasting benefits garden education provides for youth.
