The primary objective of my project was to design an interactive digital map for the Bellevue Botanical Garden (BBG). The interactive map would be a component of the organization’s shift toward incorporating environmental education and in pursuit of environmental sustainability. BBG would like to provide 24-hour access to environmental information, as this serves a marketing purpose and educates a wider audience. The goal of my project was to research how digital media can be incorporated into environmental education programs and, specifically, to understand how interpretive practices can be used to attract and engage the public within educational outreach programs.
