Although food that is produced sustainably is better for the environment and human health, most cultures do not demand better access to it. The purpose of this research was to see if there is a relationship between a country’s economic status and the willingness to pay for organic food. As an independent researcher, I interviewed residents in Greece and Spain on their attitudes towards the economy and organic food. I then analyzed the data collected through statistical analysis and graphs. Results show that the country with the higher economic crisis has a lower willingness to pay.
