Education opportunities are all around us, but they are often underutilized. For my capstone project, I looked at how public education programs are designed, and I assisted the Friday Harbor Labs in the launch of their educational media aboard Washington State ferries. Then, I helped design evaluation surveys and administered surveys on the ferries to interpret how the public received the videos. Using these results, I can make recommendations to improve the program and ensure its success. This project can serve as a model in the creation of other projects in the Puget Sound area and beyond.
