Our project was separated into two categories: (1) an analysis of the relationship between legislators and citizens in citizen lobby day events, and (2) a manual for People for Puget Sound (PfPS) on launching a successful citizen lobby day event geared towards environmental advocacy. We examined the differences in how citizens and legislators perceive the concept of a lobby day event and how (in) effective each think this method is as a political advocacy tool. We distributed surveys before and after PFPS’s 2011 Environmental Lobby Day to assess these questions.
