The global environment is experiencing unprecedented problems. Providing resources that promote sustainable lifestyles and choices is the best option for mitigating environmental problems. The purpose of our Capstone project was to assist the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability (ESS) office in creating a centralized database and user-friendly online sustainability map of environmental efforts on the University of Washington (UW) campus. The aim of the database and online map are to promote community awareness and to encourage University members’ support and participation.
