Encouraging Environmental Appreciation and Stewardship through Education

During my project, I interned with the non-profit environmental education organization Nature Vision. This organization brings environmental education programs to public school classrooms. For my work with Nature Vision, I rewrote one of their curricula, researched STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) integration with environmental education programs, and attended Nature Vision programs. I was interested in exploring how environmental education can be most effective in encouraging nature appreciation and stewardship. I investigated my question through research, curriculum writing, and observation.
