Enhancing Environmental Education One Outdoor Program at a Time

During my Capstone, I assisted in teaching a K-8 environmen- tal education program at the Seward Park Audubon Center. I was interested in studying student behaviors given the condi- tions of an outdoor classroom setting, and in particular, distractions. Observing this program helped guide me in finding strategies that could enhance the overall engagement in students to ensure positive learning experiences.
