According to the EPA, brownfields are sites with the presence or potential presence of hazardous contaminants, pollutants, or substances. This project is about conducting qualitative and qualitative data analysis for the EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant which provides financial support for communities to conduct assessment activities before cleaning up. My main tasks were using different statistical methods and performing sample studies to understand the patterns of the evaluation process and to spot potential issues in the process. Integrating the results from various perspectives, I was able to provide recommendations for improving the evaluation process in the future.
