Historical Analysis of Shoreline Change on Sequim Bay, WA
My project focused on the analysis of shoreline changes over the past 150 years around Sequim Bay, Washington. Specifically, I analyzed Jamestown Village, Travis Spit, and Blyn because these are low-elevation areas of concern to the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe. I was interested in human influences on the shoreline, as well as changes in natural occurrences that are not inhibited by people, such as sea level or rainfall. Looking at multiple factors of shoreline change helped me determine how the changes occurred and their underlying reasons.
