For my project, I located goods movement centers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. The purpose of this exercise was to determine the location of goods movement centers in relation to underserved populations. My project found that the majority of goods movement centers were located in socio-economically disadvantaged communities. This was a significant finding because it is theres individuals that are most at risk of exposure to the diesel pollutants that can adversly affect public health.
