During my project my objective was to acquire members of Washington Conservation Voters (WCV) to volunteer for Doorbelling days and Phone Banking events. I was interested in the structure of the WCV community members and wanted to learn more about which commu- nities were being outreached to. Likewise I wanted to analyze which communities invested their time in volunteering and campaigning for environmental advocates. Through participant observation and scholarly research I discovered the majority of WCV members and people in other Environmental non-profits are dominantly Caucasian. Thus Environmental NGOs are failing communities of color by misrepresenting them.
