My project helped to address the nation wide loss of farmland by identifying areas that are suitable for preservation efforts so that organizations such as American Farmland Trust, who I interned with, can advance their policy goals. To accomplish this I used computerized spatial analysis to produce a series of maps that describe the state of farmland and depict areas suitable for preservation efforts.
