During my internship, I assisted in researching and writing a paper focused on the assessment of salmon reintroductions; the paper was entitled, “Anadromous Salmon Reintroductions in the Interior Columbia River Basin.” The ultimate goal of a successful reintroduction was the establishment of a self-sustaining population. The final product of my research was a guide (area and population specific), which provides recommendations to those leading the reintroduction effort for a population of Chinook or steelhead salmon.
