My project entailed researching monitoring protocols used by resident researchers and determining which variables would be most valuable for collection by citizen scientist volunteers. I also examined the effects of shoreline armoring on intertidal ecosystems. I worked specifically to create a monitoring manual and adapt current data collection sheets for use by citizen scientists.
