I designed three marine debris survey protocols and data sheets for COASST’s marine debris program, and I field- tested different versions of these surveys on the Puget Sound and outer coast beaches. During field testing, I collected preliminary quantitative marine debris data, and I collected qualitative data on the design of the surveys. The debris survey protocols and data sheets I made for COASST will be used in preparation for the launch of the marine debris citizen science project, which is now in its infancy.
