The purpose of this project was to help determine if an MP3 “virtual ranger” nature tour could be a useful and/or feasible environmental education tool for the City of Bellevue’s Lake Hills Greenbelt Park. My project included developing a program that would allow visitors to participate at their own convenience, and to explore topics based on entertainment, interests, and/or self- enrichment. Once the electronic interactive tour guide goes live, park users can download it from the Greenbelt Park’s website to their personal cell phones and play tracks cued to park signage that connected to specific tour themes.
