I sought to discover effective strategies for enhancing workplace resilience and to halt the cycle that leads to burnout, specifically for professionals in the field of sustainability. By reviewing and analyzing the 2015 “Employee Viewpoint Survey” scores from the EPA, and conducting extensive independent research, I honed in on three primary ways to cultivate resilience at EPA Region 10: raising awareness, increasing connection, and implementing mentoring programs. I summarized my recommendations and research for future use at the EPA and created a resilience training workshop to be used at the Region 10 office.
