Alumni

Program on the Environment alumni are proactively working to build a sustainable future. 

Our alumni work with city and county governments, federal agencies, private consulting firms, education and communication entities, and nonprofit organizations. Others continue their education through graduate studies in fields such as public affairs, natural resource management, environmental and public health, and education. Many alumni stay connected with Program on the Environment by attending community events, acting as Capstone site partners and assisting with career skills workshops for current students.

Actively participating in the community helps you network, connect or reconnect with classmates, and it provides opportunities for professional development. There are a variety of ways to connect with the growing network of PoE alumni.

Alumni Council

The Alumni Council was created in 2006 to provide Program on the Environment alumni opportunities and resources for networking and professional development, as well as social events and community building.

Mission & Goals

Mission: The Alumni Council works to foster connections across academic and professional realms that provide the PoE community with sustained opportunities for career advancement and personal achievement.

Goals

  1. Connect PoE alumni
  2. Provide networking opportunities
  3. Assist students’ transition into professional and civic environmental communities
  4. Mentor current students
  5. Foster values, passion, virtue, lifestyle as environmental stewards
