  • What kind of jobs can I get with an Environmental Studies major?
  • How can I start making career connections?
  • What classes/experiences will best prepare me for an environmental career?

Explore different career pathways in Environmental Studies through this one-hour workshop co-facilitated by Joe Kobayashi (Program on the Environment) and Kimberly Petersen (UW Career Center). Learn strategies to explore environmental career pathways (What are they? How much do jobs in this field pay? Who can I ask questions to?). Hear from environmental professionals on a panel of alumni applying their skills in a variety of fields. The workshop will be followed by a chance to informally network with the panel members and other students over pizza.

[workshop]: Resumes and Cover Letters for Environmental Careers

Hello PoE students!

One of the questions Julie and I hear the most from new majors is: “Can I get a job with this major?”

We have a great record of Environmental Studies alumni going on to successful careers (both environmental and otherwise). What better way to find out the answer to the question above for yourself by meeting our alumni in person? The Environmental Studies major offers quarterly Career Skills Workshops facilitated by the UW Career Center, PoE Advising Team, and PoE Alumni. This is an opportunity to work on your own career development while connecting with alumni from our program.
