Job Description
Intern/Temporary Position, Green Nozzle Program – Chicago, IL
CIC Energy Consulting, LLC (“CIC Energy”) seeks to engage a Fall Intern (“Intern” or “Candidate”) to assist in the implementation of the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center’s Green Nozzle Program. This initiative seeks to install high-efficiency pre-rinse spray valves that help reduce hot water usage in institutions with cafeterias, or other facilities that use handheld spray hoses. CIC Energy is serving as the project manager for bringing the Green Nozzle Program to Chicago Public Schools, providing educational information and installation services for a Green Nozzle device at approximately 400 of its schools to help reduce their water and natural gas consumption and save money on utility bills.
Learning Objective
CIC Energy has successfully managed one of the largest public sector energy efficiency projects in Illinois’ history and is constantly looking for new ways to deliver value to Clients through a diverse variety of programs. Participation in the Green Nozzle Program will provide an Intern with a ground level understanding of the crucial steps of program implementation, offering hands-on experience with project management and delivery. As the third largest school district in the nation, Chicago Public Schools offers a unique opportunity for the Intern to engage with a large portfolio client that will have a demonstrable impact on energy and water usage reduction. The Intern will play a crucial role in carrying out the project from planning, logistics, scheduling, Client communications and installation. In addition to performing site visits and installing the Green Nozzle fixtures, the Intern will have the opportunity to work with CIC Energy staff to perform project tracking, results monitoring, and applied analysis where necessary. Upon successful completion of an internship with CIC Energy, the Intern will possess a highly marketable experience base, having worked directly on a high-profile project with a leading Energy Management Services company in Chicago.

For this entry-level consulting position we are seeking a dynamic, “people-person”, who is able to work across all of our practice areas, with a particular focus supporting programs about energy efficiency and stormwater management.
Primary Job Responsibilities
· Assist with delivery of resource conservation programs, providing customer support, managing customer and contractor interactions using a customized IT platform
· Assist with data collection, program analysis, and reporting
· Answer programmatic questions, explain the benefits of resource conservation, and support technical experts
· Assist with developing and presenting at trainings and orientations, help schedule and coordinate meetings and other support activities
· Conduct social media posts building support for resource conservation programs
· Assist with research, writing and producing memos, proposals, and reports.
Other duties may include:
· Conduct out-of-office field work, conducting surveys and/or waste or recycling sorting. (some travel required)

This is a full time environmental consulting position. Expected annual salary range is in the $30s, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Openings: Classroom Presenter
Triangle Associates Inc, a small environmental consulting firm, is looking for two dependable and enthusiastic educators to present classroom programs for grades 1-12. The work will be part time (approximately 20-30 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, beginning in September 2011 through June 2012, and requires a car. Presenters will travel from classroom to classroom within a school presenting 45-60 minute lessons. The work for one position will be primarily in Snohomish County and the other primarily in King County although the opportunity exists for overlap.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with students ages 6-18 (teaching in a classroom setting preferred).
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to work under pressure in a school setting.
• Voice projection, improvisational skills, and know-how to present information in an engaging and hands-on manner.
• Able to adapt teaching style for various ages and learning styles.
• Ability to carry workshop materials.
• Basic background knowledge of and interest in learning more about environmental issues such as water conservation, watershed protection, renewable energy, recycling, and waste reduction (helpful but not required).
• Creativity and energy with students!
Requirements:
• A reliable car, valid Washington State driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance covering bodily injury and property damage.
• Presenter must be available to work during school hours (between 7 AM and 4 PM).
• Ability to check email daily.

Compensation
• $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience.
