This is a permanent part-time staff position with Seattle Tilth. We are seeking a mature, enthusiastic
person who can teach and inspire both young children and adults. We require that applicants have
teaching experience, especially 2 – 14 year-olds, preferably in garden-based or environmental
education. Applicants must enjoy working outside and must have experience vegetable gardening in
the Pacific Northwest. Applicants must have experience training and leading adult volunteers.
Access to a car is required. Computer and office skills are required. Work takes place weekdays,
Saturdays and some evenings. Background in art, music, theater or performance a plus.

Trails Project Coordinator: The Trails Project Coordinator is a full-time, permanent position with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust’s Land Stewardship Program. The program coordinates trail crews, contractors and extensive community involvement in these on-the-ground efforts.
The Trails Project Coordinator will assist in developing and implementing multiple trail construction projects and an expanding trail maintenance program, which is integrated with federal, state and local agencies who manage these public lands. The position will include direct field supervision of projects, tracking of field results, operation of trail equipment, preparing trail surveys, and completing trail designs. In addition to on the ground work, this position will play an integral role in the “trail experience” throughout the landscape; developing a voice for the trail system.
Events and Outreach Intern: The Events and Outreach Intern is a multi-faceted position within the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust. This position will be responsible for supporting Greenway Trust outreach activities and events, as well as providing administrative support to the Trust in Communications and Development.

Job Summary:
Under general direction of the storm water manager, and in collaboration with solid waste and wastewater program staff, assists small business owners with voluntary efforts to control, reduce or eliminate pollutants and storm water runoff by offering technical assistance and information on best practices. Responsible for identifying and coordinating site visits, preparing and distributing educational materials, completing checklists, preparing site visit reports and monthly reporting using WA ST Department of Ecology guidelines as outlined in the Local Source Control Partnership. THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION FUNDED THROUGH JUNE 30, 2013. IT MAY BE RE-EVALUATED AT THAT TIME FOR SUCCESS MEETING OBJECTIVES, CONTINUED NEED AND AVAILABLE GRANT FUNDING. THE SELECTED INCUMBENT WILL NEED TO ATTEND MANDATORY TRAINING ON FEBRUARY 14TH AND 15TH.
Salary & Benefits: $3,551 – $3,767 per month.

Key responsibilities include: hiring, training, and supervision of crew leaders, implementing corps member training and education, safety/risk management and maintaining the objectives of EarthCorps’ mission in all endeavors. This position works Tuesday through Friday with occasional Saturdays and Mondays from 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
