University of Washington Environmental Health Summer Research Program

Dates: June 23rd to August 22nd 2014 in Seattle, WA

Stipend: $5,200

The UW Environmental Health Research Experience Program (EHREP) is a funded, nine-week summer experience for undergraduates from any 2 or 4 year college or university with an interest in environmental health sciences. EHREP provides students with hands on experience in laboratories of leading researchers, introduces them to key environmental and occupational health issues while offering research exposure that will help them become competitive applicants for graduate study.  Students will work full-time under the supervision of a faculty mentor and will receive a stipend of $5,200.

The CAP Communications Coordinator will work in partnership with the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Office and the Strategy Management office to continue implementing the Climate Action Plan Communications Plan as developed by a 2011 Keystone Team and previous CAP Communications Coordinators. 

Desired Qualifications

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize time 
*Experience with: MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
*Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
*Strong commitment to environmental learning
*Experience writing/editing for print or web publications is a plus
*Previous experience working in an office environment is desired

The position is part-time and is funded Fall Quarter 2013 to Spring Quarter 2014. The salary is $12/hour. All majors and class standings are welcome to apply.
