Are you interested in Peace Corps after graduation? Want to know what it’s like to serve? Do you have any questions about the application process? Are you curious about how you can make yourself a more competitive applicant? Here is your opportunity to have all of your questions answered.
The Peace Corps UW Campus Representative, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Morocco 08-10), will be available today from 12:30-1:20 in Thompson Hall 317. There, Phil Hayes will be talking about Peace Corps overall, his personal experience serving in Morocco, and also the rewards, challenges, and benefits of being a volunteer. Towards the end there will be plenty of time for a question and answer session.
The University of Washington is recognized as the top producing university for Peace Corps volunteers. Currently, more than 100 UW alumni are serving in the Peace Corps, and since the program’s inception in 1961, a total of 2,540 such alumni have served.
