Food Waste Reduction Outreach and Education
Food waste is a growing issue and has negative effects
on the environment. My study focused on finding out the
moitvations and barriers behind food waste reudction of
Good Cheer Food Bank customers. My main projects
while working there were to create outreach and eduation
materials to get them to reduce food waste. I created
weekly recipes, vegetable info cards, meal plans, and
carried out food demonstrations in an effort to get people
to eat healthier and reduce their food waste at home.
