Puget Sound Salmon: A Triple Bottom Line Analysis; How Examining the Issue of Salmon Decline through Multiple Lenses will Lead to a More Effective Solution
I researched holes in permitting processes required for shoreline armoring projects in Puget Sound. This subject was chosen because the Tulalip tribe raised the issue of salmon decline to the EPA Region 10 office on behalf of many treaty tribes in Puget Sound, and shoreline armoring has been deemed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a major problem issue I wanted to look at the issue on a wider scale, so I opted to analyze the issue through a triple bottom line approach, which can serve as a compre- hensive look at the issue that can help us move towards a more effective solution.
