Telling the Story of the Puget Sound: Accountability in Action
I analyzed information from the Financial and Ecosystem Accounting Tracking System (FEATS) to publicly display accomplishments of federally-funded projects in the Puget Sound. This system tracks project efficiency, allowing for reflection and accountability by projects, aiding in the production of tangible ecosystem results. The EPA will provide an online database and distribute accomplishments to decision makers. I researched other systems like FEATS, such as environmental management systems and concluded, with continued use and a strong community, these systems can track how efficiently projects use their time and funding towards the ecological goals in any number of places needing stewardship.
