The Columbia River Project, an independent research project bonded higher education curriculum with critical thinking in the field, solidifying research experience across an array of disciplines. The purpose of the project was to apply the research process to a subject that allowed for the culmination of higher education experience with real-world investigative experience. To do this, I investigated Snake River basin economics. I asked if the development of a green economy had influenced changes to Snake River users (agriculturalists, recreationalists, industry, utilities and natives) perceptions of salmon.
