During my project, I worked with Washington Sea Grant on a shoreline monitoring and restoration project at a property on Bainbridge Island. My project consisted of post- monitoring of a beach that had bulkheads removed from it. I measured the slope and the biological life of the beach. After conducting my monitoring, I graphed the slope of the beach pre-removal and post-removal of the bulkheads to compare and determine the change, if any. I also compared the biological data from pre-armoring removal and post-armoring removal to see how it changed.
