During my internship, I worked towards expanding the marketing and recognition of the University of Washington’s Green Laboratory program. I also functioning as a sustainability consultant for laboratories applying to the program. My project examines the current extent of sustainability in laboratories, with the goal of better delineating the costs, benefits and potential barriers of sustain- ability activities to the various stakeholders. By interacting directly with laboratories, collecting data and conducting a review of relevant literature, I had the opportunity to address my research questions.
