Canada vs the United States: A Comparison of Cosmetic Pesticide Policy

For my internship, I worked at the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program under Julia Singer. My internship focused on the cosmetic pesticide policies in the United States and Canada. To accomplish this task, I performed an extensive literature review of policies and articles pertaining to cosmetic pesticides to understand the bigger picture of how the two countries handle the restriction of pesticides. With the information, I created a comprehensive document that described the methods of handling pesticides and how Washington State can better approach the situation. With this document, the Program can take the lead on approaching pesticide restrictions in Washington.
