“Going green” is a new trend in many aspects of living and, in terms of homes and business, greener technology is quickly taking over. Each person has their reason for implementing efficient products; however, the most popular seems to be the economic return. Energy efficient technology has a high initial cost but the long-term savings are much greater, and the product lifetime is usually extended. For my capstone project, I interned at SeaTac Airport, conducting light audits, writing a cost and cost-benefit analysis, and researching the latest energy efficient lighting.
