During my internship, I worked with the City of Seattle to research current decision-making processes related to project approval and program funding in the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) and the Department of Transportation (SDOT). I also conducted research on decision-making processes in other jurisdictions that have been identified as “sustainable.” The purpose of this research was to identify ways that Seattle can incorporate the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) into its decision-making processes to increase sustainability.
