Financial Benefits of Low Cost Restoration Methods: Using Volunteer Labor, Low Cost Plant Materials from Salvage, and by Using Live Materials from Onsite or Nearby
During my project I worked with three other students to help restore a plot of land along the Snoqualmie River, by removing invasive species and planting native species. Our intention was to create a buffer of native plants and trees to block the flooding river from the farmer’s crops. In my project, I researched ways in which we would be able to restore the plot of land using low-cost methods. In my experience we were able to put researched methods to use to complete the project .
