As the human population grows there will be more interac- tions with wildlife in urban settings and wilderness areas. An increased human presence in wilderness areas could have an adverse effect on wildlife. For my capstone project I wanted to see how human activity in a wildlife corridor would affect the wildlife using it. To answer my question I interned with Bainbridge Island Land Trust and worked on their camera trap study in a suburban wildlife corridor. What I found was wildlife in the study area shied away from areas with heavy human use.
