I interned with EPA on a program called WasteWise, where businesses partner with EPA, track their waste reduction, and receive feedback and recognition for doing so. I performed three case studies, Ballard Brother’s Seafood and Burgers, Albertsons, and Safeco Field. I identified key components in each businesses program and compared these components across the businesses to determine which were in all three, identifying these as; components necessary to establishing a recycling program in any business. I implemented my own recycling program in my fraternity, in order to determine if alone, these components were enough to generate recycling success in any business.
