During my project I restored a plot of forest within Lincoln Park in Seattle, WA. I also researched the prevalence of dogs within Lincoln Park, and the effects that off leash dogs have on urban forests as a whole. I found that off leash dogs were prevalent in Lincoln Park and that they were likely doing some degree of damage to the forest and the wildlife within it. I shared this knowledge with a larger audience through the West Seattle Blog and Green Seattle Partnership in hopes to increase leash compliance in Seattle parks.
