Bringing Agriculture Home: Empowering Local Food in the Puget Sound

For my project, I worked with the American Farmland Trust (AFT) to create a conference for professionals in the Puget Sound area that would provide tools and information about using their positions to help protect farmland and encourage both local food production and consumption. As a part of the preliminary research for the conference, I looked for communities in the United States with progres- sive local food systems. By doing this, I was able to analyze the status of the current food system and then implement these findings into the content of the AFT conference.
