I was a Climate Change N.G.O. Intern with Frontier Programs in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. The organization engages in conservation research throughout the world, specifically in developing countries. The focus is on empowering individuals in their communities to join the field research and get involved to the point where Frontier is no longer needed there. My internship responsibilities included: engaging in field surveys, ranging from nighttime amphibians and reptiles surveys to forest primates surveys to morning turtle surveys along the beach, as well as collecting data on the abundance and behaviors of each species.
