Components that Lead to Successful Risk Communication within the EPA in regards to Air Pollution
I worked with the Environmental Protection Agency in Region 10 with a program called the Air Quality Flag Program to help communicate the risk of air pollution to schools around the Pacific Northwest. I also conducted about air quality and conducted interviews about risk communication with EPA employees to get their feedback on how the EPA communicates risk and what they are best at and what they can improve upon. With all of these components, I was able to figure out the most successful ways in which the EPA goes about communicating risk regarding air quality.
