For my project, I interned with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 10 along with the Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC) and Green Sports Alliance (GSA). During my internship, I searched and compiled lists of local, federal, and government “green” programs that would be uploaded onto the Green Sports Directory. This “one-stop-shop” directory is provided to sports facility managers for sustainable improvements nationwide. During my time at the EPA, I was interested in sustainable transportation to sports games, how sustain- able improvements were selected, and more importantly, how these improvements engage in overall environmental stewardship.
