My internship was with UW Sustainability working on their Greening Health Sciences Initiative. This initiative’s purpose is to identify opportunities to improve the sustainability of the UW Health Sciences. My project was aimed at the local Seattle hospitals managed by the University of Washington including Harborview and UW Medical Centers. My site supervisor and I chose to focus on the GHG emissions and waste produced by these hospitals to and a way to decrease them in the future.
