During my project, I developed and taught an environmental education lesson on Pacific Northwest trees for Washington Sea Grant’s Cranberry Lake Research and Education Center. I was interested in studying the effects of environmental education on attitudes of sustainability and determining the methods that are most successful in promoting positive outlooks on sustainability and civic responsibility. I found the backbone of information for my analysis through scholarly research, while the environmental education component of my Capstone Internship gave me the opportunity to find answers to my questions first-hand.
