I volunteered with Puget Soundkeeper Alliance for my capstone project. I participated in most of the clean up events during summer. Every Wednesdays and Fridays, PSA held kayak and motor boat clean-up events. On Wednesday, PSA patrolled in kayak and picked up any inorganic substances on Lake Union. On Friday, PSA held a motor boat patrol and patrolled the Duwamish River. On July 5, 2010, PSA hosted a major clean up event of Lake Union, where the group of forty volunteers (in kayaks and walking the shoreline) collected about 700 pounds of litter.
